Just when you think that Internet commentary is nothing more than a wretched hive of scum and villainy, a light shines through so strongly it can help restore your optimism about people. ~ slate.com

Earlier this week I ran across the above article wherein Jenny McCarthy tweeted, "What is the most important personality trait you look for in a mate? Reply using #JennyAsks" Amujsingly answered, "One who can use critical thinking skills and accept the facts of science" in every iteration imaginable, by far my favorite was a website I was unfamiliar with: http://howdovaccinescauseautism.com/

An honest community response. I blog ceaselessly on people I meet who disbelieve facts, or who don't know why they believe something asinine while totally defending their right to do so, but earlier this week when I found Obama's "evolving view on homosexuality" attacked (because it was insincere due to being an election year) which as far as I can ascertain the first time he mentioned this evolution was December 2010 - decidedly NOT an "election year" (this from the side which accuses the other side of fake math and lack of fact checking) which is really me just trying to say some people really don't care about facts at all one way or the other, no matter how loudly they scream that they do, and if someone changes their mind, they'll get kicked for that as well. I only mention this because I really don't know if Jenny McCarthy is that stupid - if she ever changed her mind would she admit to it - and even if she did, would the hordes of baby-making couples who previously believed her also change their opinion?

I have no idea.

That's the problem with news, propaganda and agendas. They are so pervasive and loud that even of they were so inclined to find the truth and break the mould, everyday misinformed people wouldn't even know where to begin looking.

What about people who are interested in politics? Or government conspiracy? How do you think they would view The Vaccine War? My guess - suspicion and disbelief. And we're back where we started.

"Nuh-uh."

Jenny McCarthy fails to meet this most important personality trait, "One who can use critical thinking skills and accept the facts of science".

That was the general consensus, yes.
