Recently I posted about the television drama Bones, in where a group of highly intelligent scientists work with the FBI to solve crimes based on found bones.

I caught a couple of episodes of NUMB3RS this past month - now here's a group of highly intelligent scientists who work with the FBI to solve crimes based on algorithms and formulas. Pretty cool.

Because I'm smarter than the average bear, and see a recipe for success, I've decided to quit my job and pitch my two suggestions for televisions newest crime-drama's! I welcome you to bask in my achievement:

Colors: A group of highly intelligent scientists work with the FBI to solve crimes based on color use and/or combinations of colors found at the crime scene, or colors which were noticed based on interviews with witnesses.

AROMAS: A group of highly intelligent scientists work with the FBI to solve crimes based on, you guessed it, scents! They go around sniffing the air and culling out-of-place aromatics to fit pieces of the puzzle together.

It's better than winning the lottery.

OOoh! And then I'll do a Canadian take off! Of course, it'll have to suck, and we'll have to have much worse technology....so we'll call it...ummm.....

Words: A group of highly intelligent scientists work with the FBI...wait...no. The Royal Canadian Mounted Police, to solve crimes based on the testimonies of the people who witnessed said crimes.

Oh man I'm gonna be so freakin rich!

Are you implying that it'll have to suck because of its requirement to meet Canadian Content regulations? :)

Remember Canadian Bacon - you're not allowed to mock the Canadians unless you do it in both English and French. It's the law.

I think you need a take on this formula that involves a team of highly intelligent unix admins that work with the F.B. (Ayyyeeee!) to solve crimes based on computer forensics, database queries, or data recovery.

You can call it: BITS

I can't believe he didn't think of that one. :)

Wouldn't it be called "Bytes" instead?

NUMB3RS made me think of 'Colors' which led me to consider a show for each of the senses. Lame but true.

I totally get your line of thinking! It makes perfect sense.

I think you could expand upon your 'Colors' show and also include a lebanese palm-reader/recovering crack whore who uses her powers to see the peoples auras and flash-backs to previous criminal events, as well as her negotiation tactics learned on the streets with her 'Johns'.

She would live/operate from a cardboard box on the street with a mason-jar bathroom, so as to not lose her 'street cred'.

The best part is since its on tv, we wouldn't be able to smell her.

I'd call it, "Byte Me."
galinda822 at 2006-12-14 05:05 (UTC) (Link)
I'd "byte" you! :)

I think you need to pitch those ideas to all the networks - I'm sure one of them would be picked up eventually! Of course, you'll have to come up with the cast of characters and the basic backstories for said characters!

How exciting!

Screw the networks! Go straight to cable! TBS, USA, HBO and Showtime! You can get away with sooooo much more on cable.

I'd base the personalities of the FBI agents on each of us in this office.

It would be a sure-fire hit.

Fantastic idea! Cluck does seem like a character on television doesn't he - kinda like Kramer from Seinfeld.

I've got us all carved out; brief description of each - we'd make a good FBI team.
