Melancthe the Woe, So-Called

I didn't realise rooibos tea was popular over there; it's a staple of practically every South African household. I'm quite astounded at the price, though: here, $30 would buy quite a few boxes of even the flavoured rooibos (I normally just drink the honey rooibos myself).

Rooibos is my absolute favorite!

Rooibos makes an awesome iced tea, and an even more awesome punch (with lots of rum, of course). I still have embarrassing memories from the last time I made the punch. :)

I tried it for the 1st time today iced - it was great!
Anything with Rum in it taste good however, I've learned the hard way (thru similar embarrassing memories) that I have to stay far away from it though!!!

I've only just discovered the roobios and owe most of that to galinda822. $30 bought me 4, 3-oz. bags of flavored loose tea:

  1. Ameretto

  2. Spice

  3. Carmel

  4. Blueberry

Oh, and a strainer to keep at my mother-in-law's house. It's quite tasty, and way better than the green and white teas, though I have a deep affection for lapsang souchong dating back to my days in the UK.

Isn't the roobios supposed to be good for you too?
