I don't see it, but I'm glad there's people out there like you who think so.

BTW...I hear through the grapevine that you're thinking of attending the party? AWESOME!

I don't see how you don't see it.

Amy should come to the party on the condition that you write a book if she does.

I find talent in other's writing far more often than I see it in my own. That's exactly how.

That's the critic in you coming out. Of course you look at your writing more critically then you do others because you want it to be the best writing it can be. Similarly, you find talent where most don't because you're looking for those nuggets that most would pass over. That's just you applying your skills to see why people who are good at their craft and what they do to achieve that greatness.

If it helps you any, you could always compare you writing to mine. I mean, hell, I'm supposed to be the writer and yet I've heard people say they'd rather watch all seasons of Watching Grass Grow back to back then read two consecutive sentences of mine. Remember, no matter how bad you may think you are, there's someone worse then you.

I appreciate your attempt at a pep talk, and after your first paragraph, I was surprised at the sense you were making, and proud that you came up with such a meaningful reply.

But seriously, I don't use other people's failure as my measuring stick.

That's my success I was referring to. My failures be damned!

I don't use other's failure as my measuring stick. I hold myself to a higher standard: My own.

Your own standards or your own failures?

Your own standards or your own failures?
"I hold myself to a higher standard: My own."
"I hold myself to a higher standard: My"
"I hold myself to a higher standard:"
"hold myself to a higher standard"
"myself to a higher standard"
"to a higher standard"
"a higher standard"
"higher standard"
"standard"

*covers my eyes*

I can't see any talent here.

Ass. Get over it. You've got talent. Now USE it. Prove to us that you really are a cunning linguist.

I really am. I've found tickets for around $250 and it's a once in a lifetime sort of experience. I'd love to meet all you guys. :D

That would be neat. I've talked to a handful of people who are very excited at that prospect, and who are asking me daily which side of the fence you're on at any given moment. Namely, the regulars.

:) And no one would mind having an extra person crash on their floor or couch?

That would be me. And since my wife knows galinda822 and photogoot personally, and they've vouched for you, she says...let me see if I can remember correctly....um, oh yes! "Absolutely!"
