Part 4

Manger Eric 2005
So professional! no hands on even if you try to arrange it. I will take you to dinner at Ruth's Chris one of these days so that I may see you all duded up in person.

I am still searching for the post about the tie. Speaking of, I should see if I can dig up that denim tie for you for Christmas.

Manger Eric 2006
Fully in your element, more relaxed, bucking the system while at the same time obeying the spirit of the law and getting everything done ahead of schedule with a crew that respected you. (Oh Captain, My Captain!) I'll have to dig up your post about the new guy that you hired and "story time". What a RIOT!!!

Why do you call it blocking tar instead of just tar? What's the difference?

2006 Home
I think this is that "artist surrounded by chaos to create" concept that melancthe and I were discussing on her post that inspired this one. I swear, you are a writer. So write, damnit!

2007 @ drax0r's
Why exactly did you need every box that is pictured here? Please to explain. I do have to say though, this is the perfect blend of chaos and minimalism while being a touch on the compact, everything in its place motif.

2007 Anna, TX
This is the best solution that I think you have come up with. It is elegant, clean and functional. Kudos on the color palette.

Closing Remarks
Here we are at the end of a great journey. I have learned a lot about myself learning about you. Thank you for going back to your roots. I know that I have gone back to mine.

This post is evidence that you can write and that you are very good at it. My only gripe about this entry is that it did not have a proper conclusion. I would recommend that after your summation you include the text of Rudyard Kipling's If provided that you can steer your conclusion into the proper tone. Robert Frost's The Road Less Traveled would also work, but it's too clichéd.

It was a very different kind of job for me.

I think that was jaceman: http://ehowton.livejournal.com/90606.html

READ, READ, READ! Study, learn, research. Google is your friend! THIS is what I'm talking about. Tell me, what is "blocking tar" as opposed to just tar?

I swear, you are a writer. So write, damnit!
I do. Nearly everyday. Its called The Empirical Manifesto.

Why exactly did you need every box that is pictured here?
1. OSX (to do Mac things)
2. WinXP (to do Windows things)
3. Ubuntu (to do linux things)
4. Sparc9 (quark - to...you know, run quark again online)
5. Sparc10 (learn Sparc10 to help me at work)

This is the best solution that I think you have come up with. It is elegant, clean and functional.
I agree, and thank you. You'll see it in a fortnight.

My only gripe about this entry is that it did not have a proper conclusion.
This is but another chapter in my life, and that sir, hopefully, is far from concluded. Thank you for riding along.

Re: Part 4

Ah yes... "story time." I think you were expecting me to be intimidated by his oddities, but I was all set to share! Actually I was disappointed when we didn't carry the charade out to fruition.

Furthermore, you never did let me where the funny hat for training! *crying*

Re: Part 4

Too bad neither of these charades were carried out to fruition.

You've mentioned that once before I think.

jaceman
It's funnier knowing who you did that to. The post was a great read. Thanks for finding it for me.

blocking tar
I googled it the day that you sent me the link when I was getting Mini max0r setup. I couldn't get a definitive answer then and I have no less of one now. (I did, however, read the same article today I read three weeks ago.) I don't think they are different. It's a difference without distinction. So you're setting your own block sizes. Whoopee!

The Empirical Manifesto
I agree that this will be your magna opus, but in addition I would like to see something from you at my local bookstore before either of us croak. I want to be able to say, "Hey, I know the bastard that wrote this!"

box3n
At least you can come up with answers.

I agree, and thank you. You'll see it in a fortnight
You're welcome and I'm all a-titter!

This is but another chapter in my life, and that sir, hopefully, is far from concluded.
Where do you speculate this chapter will go next? What other chapters could there be after this?

Thank you for riding along.
My pleasure. Next trip I'll plan a sing-a-long!
