The difference here, I believe, is that though I can be, at times, an asshole, its not what I'm known for.
Are you implying that I'm known for being an asshole?

Because as I pointed out on your site, that's the only item they're outwardly mocking.
I don't see it as mockery. I see it as the song-changing had gotten out of hand and this was a humors way to move into the grand finale.

Furthermore, if the group is doing anything outwardly that would have to be broadcasting the fact that they are not commuted to diversity. One African American in a sea of racist, sexist, bigoted, homophobic does not a diverse group make.

A budding filmmaker should know the difference to be effective, don't you think?
Yes, a budding filmmaker should, but as a budding filmmaker I don't see it. To this point, the only thing of substance that you have said on my site is that it is a mockery and therefore anti-Semitic but you haven't explained or defended your position. Rather, you've simply played with words.

In context, sir, its the reasons behind you not watching them I find harmful to your future career. "Because its stupid" is not an objective answer, nor will that attitude I think propel you in the direction you wish to go.
I agree. But I shouldn't have to write a thesis on every film to explain exactly what I don't like about it or what I've learned from the film and will thus attempt to avoid doing in the future. That having been said, I think that the writing in all three of the recent Spiderman movies has been extremely weak at best and downright repulsive at worst.

I get the fact that the comics were produced during a time when people still had morales. It was enough to have the "bad guys" become "not bad guys". But that just doesn't sell today, nor is that entertaining. Having the bad guy repenting before his death once is ok, but not three times in a row. Furthermore, if the filmmakers wanted to show the tension between Parker's landlord's daughter vs. Mary Jane, why didn't they go all the way instead of saying "oh hey, think about this, but we're not going there."

The special effects were lack-luster in several places. And what the hell was up with emo Parker? Just because he had a comb-over and was a little bit sassy he got girls? WTF?

The attempt to rebuild the franchise was poorly executed. I think the four-fold reason that Spiderman 3 made so much money is that a) the nostalgia of parents b) lack of objectionable material c) kids being introduced to Spiderman for the first time d) the marketing of expensive computer graphics. Not one of the reasons just mentioned has anything to do with substance but rather amusement (the prefix "a" meaning not and the root "muse" meaning to think, thus literally not think) In short, this is the cattle effect you so glibly mention whenever the occasion presents itself.

This reply is about...the Spiderman trilogy? I have yet to see the third film, but I lined it up to watch this week with Robin Hood: Men in Tights. Maybe I'll read your reply then.

Spiderman was, after all, the big blockuster of the year.

Yes, I saw all three movies. Yes, I regret wasting my time.

I'm sorry - which year? Furthermore, did you see (unlikely) and were you the one who suggested, Stardust?

I thought you lived in the real world, yet here I am, obligated to step you through this as I would a child.

Spiderman 3 came out in 2007 and grossed $336,530,303 domestically as of August 19, 2007. It went on to gross $885,430,303 globally, the 9th higest grossing movie of all time as of the time of this writing.

Yes, I recomended seeing Stardust and saw it thrice in the theater. Have you seen it and if so, what did you think?

One African American in a sea of racist, sexist, bigoted, homophobic does not a diverse group make.

On the contrary, by definition it surely does.

I just saw the words "Spiderman 3" - I was so utterly disappointed in that movie. Words can't express it. :(
