Admittedly, it was said tongue-in-cheek; to spurn conversation. Concerning Robin Hood: Men in Tights, I have that in the queue to watch this week.

May the Swartz be with you!

do tell sir! I saw it as an all out attack, not a mere comment en passent.

That's because you're an idiot.

You really like twisting words, don't you?

bsdcat is notorious for his love of plain speaking in the spirit of open communication. I admire that, and at times strive for it myself.

Twisting words? Sometimes. Using wit & cunning to work a room, definitely. Illustrating absurdity by being absurd? Absolutely.

And since we're on the subject, I know that you as well attempt to pull off that last one as well. Recently, while watching the trash-popcorn-comedy-hardly-worth-your-time Dirty Rotten Scoundrels I heard one of my favorite quotes, this time made even moreso by my identifying it with you:

Freddy, as a younger man, I was a sculptor, a painter, and a musician. There was just one problem: I wasn't very good. As a matter of fact, I was dreadful. I finally came to the frustrating conclusion that I had taste and style, but not talent. I knew my limitations. We all have our limitations, Freddy. Fortunately, I discovered that taste and style were commodities that people desired. Freddy, what I am saying is: know your limitations. You are a moron.

I thought you were watching a movie.

You're not thinking 4th dimensionally! I had to grill a Moroccan-rubbed steak on the grill for dinner. I picked up some horseradish cheddar at the deli to go with it and my wife made her spicy black bean salad as a compliment.

So much for "I'm about to spin the disc."

So much for, "You're not thinking 4th dimensionally." The disc was spinning, moron. I was enjoying the title music whilst carrying on my other duties. What a dullard!

So how was the film or did you even watch it?
ehowton at 2007-12-24 05:40 (UTC) (Link)
I had to take a leak, thanks for asking. Its a long movie.

Two hours and ten minutes does not a long film make.

It was incredible. I can't wait to watch it again. What wondrous storytelling! Its a Princess Bride for a whole new generation. Its the other half of The Lady in Water and how At World's End should have...ended. How touching - how exciting! I want to see it again.
