Admittedly, its the "Budweiser" of Germany. But in the states, when you have to have that 'Rhineland' taste (as its not brewed in the Bavarian region) you just gotta reach for it.

Actually, Budvar is the Budweiser of Germany.

Ah, Budvar! That's a Czech beer, actually - and a damn fine brew. Much better than its US namesake, but for Czech brews, I'll take my P.U. Great find, BTW - have you had it? I've only seen it stateside a couple of times.

I've only ever read about it. There was a great article a long time ago that I read where some American beer geeks went on a Euro-trip with a few cases of Abfliegen and a few cases of Budvar to see who was truly the "king" of beers. Very silly and entertaining.
