Apocalypse For the Win

Riding upon steeds of death
Swords of morality wield
Eying my enemies with contempt (Deserving not charitable attempt)
Premonitory visions unveiled

Armed angels at my command
Legions battle ready
On the very edge of justice swift (Angelic theft of souls a gift)
Levy's burst; swirling chaotic eddy

Thundering toward campaign's core
My war cry transcends the din
The audible song of a thousand years (I sing of immortals' tears)
Turns all eyes toward my stoic chin

With one final decapitating blow
Trumpets of Heaven cascade in sound
Rivers of blood; allegiances shift (Tortured souls adrift.)
Drive my sword into the ground

Spirit beings disapparate at an alarming rate
Heaven slows its gait;

Transcendence of sensible reality negate...
I evaporate

That's very flattering ma'am, thank you. Do you know why?

Do I know why I like it? Of course!!!!!

There's a multitude of reasons.
Mainly being I love the visualizations it provokes.
It sounds very medieval.

And it comes from within your mind. Which works in mysterious ways!

I was pounding my war drum when I wrote it.

I assumed as much when you mentioned part of the reason for it earlier.

In the immortal words of Winnie the Pooh:

Poetry and Hums aren't things which you get, they're things which get you.
And all you can do is to go where they can find you.

Thanks! And the avatar was inspired by melancthe's Hadhafang avatar: . I'd been jealous of it forever, but required a sword as uniquely identifiable as hers, without copying her directly. Then one day, I was watching Serenity for the thousandth time and it became crystal clear what I must do.
