I had a lot of work to do today, and not wishing to murder cow-like coworkers for wandering over into my cube to chew their cud, I opted to Work From Home today, which always turns out pleasantly and offers an ideal working environment, as I wore nothing more than a robe until noon.

Go me.

Of course this also affords me the opportunity to begin drinking 30-seconds after I've disconnected from my VPN session, instead of waiting for that pesky 10-minute drive home. This will also help me prepare for the weekend, of which my plate is already full, but I'd sure like to take my boy to see Speed Racer.

I HAVE NOT READ YOUR INDIANA JONES POSTS

Because I don't want to know. Many people enjoy early spoilers. I am not one of those people. I will live in a singularity void of stimuli in order to carry out my evil plans. And my plans encompass not seeing Indiana Jones and Kingdom of the Crystal Skill until its released on DVD. For the time being, I'm happy with my score, though it is a bit down-trodden, I appreciate the verses from the trilogy being tied in.

I've pretty much had Hellboy on repeat since I watched the movie last weekend, and am getting ready to step away and watch it again while I separate laundry. I'm so excited! There are so many themes I enjoy that I completely missed the first time around.

I hope each and every one of you has a rewarding Memorial Day.

I don't know if we each have a destiny, or if we're all just floatin' around accidental-like on a breeze. But I...I think maybe it's both.

Now we can fight over things like our least favorite tracks or the best film cues ;)

Dont read anything about Indy. The people who dislike it tend not to know what they're talking about and the people that do like it - well, its never good to get your hopes up too high either.

Yo, there is laundry on the children's bedroom floors and in their bath tub too. Since you are being such a helpful hubby today, will you please strip our bed. The sheets need washing.
Perhaps we could enjoy a cold beverage when I finely get home from work.

You need to see it in the theater! Some things look much better on the big screen.

Indeed. Unfortunately, I only see about two movies a year in the theatre, and the first one is hopefully going to be Speed Racer.

But yeah, just like watching the first Indy on the big screen - WOW! Hrm, that suggestion is starting to make a lot of sense all of a sudden.

Must be nice. I despise cud-chewing co-workers and vote to work from home every day!

Why weren't you drinking during your VPN session?

instead of waiting for that pesky 10-minute drive home.
Goddamned lazy fucks who won't invent a teleporter.

I'd sure like to take my boy to see Speed Racer.
What happened to "I'm going to see Indy 4 in the theaters?"

Because I don't want to know.
I told you what the outcome was going to be moths ago, and yet you didn't listen.

I hope each and every one of you has a rewarding Memorial Day.
I'm pretty tired... I think I'll go home now.

Why don't you just vote not to work? Wouldn't that be simpler?

Why weren't you drinking during your VPN session?
Its against corporate policy.

What happened to "I'm going to see Indy 4 in the theaters?"
I watch about two movies a year in the theater, and I have children. Sometimes, I don't always get what I want. I try not to whine about it.

I told you what the outcome was going to be moths ago,
Yes, I appreciate your opinion. However, your opinion was based on assumptions (and not very good ones at that) - it is not gospel. You haven't seen it either. Perhaps we'll revisit once one of us has seen it?

I think I'll go home now.
That sir, is a hell of a plan!

You could come home with me, to my house in Greenbow, Jenny. You and little Forrest. If you're sick, I'll take care of you.

Hope you have a wonderful weekend sir! I'm hoping to be feel well enough to enjoy at least one day.

Sorry I've been offline the last few days. All I seem to be doing is sleeping. :(

Sleep does the body good. And I did see that you were active from 0945 to 1245 yesterday (and obviously that could simply be Zakk using your account to further research nuclear fission) but I had a VPN session open on KVM so was "offline" about half the day myself. Sorry I missed you! But I'm glad you're getting your strength back.

Hell, just reading your comment makes we want to climb back in bed myself!

Ah the joys of working from home. :)

I'm selective about my spoilers. I will eat BSG ones up like crazy, but I've been avoiding stuff on Indy. I've been content with watching the first three (which I picked up at Target for $10 each this week) and special features. Hopefully, we'll get out to see it tonight or Monday.

Enjoy your weekend too!

I bought the trilogy when it came out, though I do get excited when I see the movies with their new covers at Target - and cheaper too, than what I paid for mine - though I did get a 4th DVD of special features...

Russian Communists Call For Boycott Of Crystal Skull

I thought you might find this story interesting:

Members of Russia's dwindling Communist Party have called for a nationwide boycott of Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, which opened on Thursday. In particular, they object to the depiction of Soviet troops invading top-secret American installations, killing guards and wreaking havoc. As reported by the London Sunday Times, the Communists claim that no Soviet terrorists were ever sent to the U.S. in 1957, the year in which the movie's plot takes place. Instead, they said, the government successfully launched the first Sputnik satellite, "which evoked the admiration of the whole world." The Sunday Times quoted Moscow Communist lawmaker Andrei Andreyev as saying, "It is very disturbing if talented directors want to provoke a new Cold War." And Reuters quoted St. Petersburg Communist Party chief Sergei Malinkovich as saying, "Why should we agree to that sort of lie and let the West trick our youth?." He said that "they will go to the cinema and will be sure that in 1957 we made trouble for the United States and almost started a nuclear war."

Re: Russian Communists Call For Boycott Of Crystal Skull

ITS NOT OUR FAULT THEY WITHHELD THE TRUTH OF THEIR COUNTRY FROM THEIR OWN CITIZENS TO THE POINT THAT THEIR YOUTH MIGHT BELIEVE THEY WERE RUNNING COVERT OPS IN THE US!

Dumbasses.
