I enjoyed Live at Pompeii greatly - thanks. Some of it was reminescent of Meddle but I may have just been *really* getting into "Echoes" or at least the last part of that song on the album.

I don't know why I don't have a Pink Floyd avatar, but I keep trying to use it on this thread :P

What you hear on Live at Pompeii is the original version of "Echoes" as it was performed live prior to the release of Meddle. The original plan was to open and close the Meddle album with the two parts of the song, like the two halves of "Shine on You Crazy Diamond" on Wish You Were Here (and, to a lesser extent, "Pigs on the Wing" from Animals).

I like this particular album because it balances out the more polished sound of their later work with the psychedelia of their earlier stuff.

Agreed Ummagumma is one of my favorite. Although I can appreciate the production value and polished sound of Atom Heart Mother.
