Hey Eric, for what it's worth, a roomate of mine had an interesting problem: every time he'd put XP into hibernate mode and then bring the box up and boot into Linux, he'd have no internet conectivity until he went back to Windows. Apparently, when XP hibernates, it doesn’t release the IP back to the server. Either that or campus was just fucked up. If I had to guess, I'd say it was both.

In other news, I've found that a simple release/renew works 99.8% of the time with Windoze. Sometimes you still have to reset the box. My theory on that would be that it has something to do with what the OS has cached and in not getting updated, thus a reboot forcing the issue.

Apparently, with wireless, sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesn't. Fantastic technology that.
