Uh-oh.... total geek moment...

What flashed through my head as soon as I saw this picture?

"So much for the little training cruise."

Yes, I know. I'll go sit in the corner.

Ok Sulu.

I came across this photo while at my folks today - Shaft accompanied me on my drive. All 80-minutes of it.

Outside of Track 10 (which didn't agree with my headache) it was a fantastic way to pass the time, though I admit to an increased level of annoyance with those driving under the speed limit while under its influence.

Whatever you do, don't listen to "The Ride to Dubno" from Franz Waxman's Taras Bulba while driving. You don't realize how fast you're going until the flashing lights make you glance down at your speedometer.

I have an uncle that was stationed in Weisbaden for some time.

That was actually what prompted my family to get our first computer. International calls were killer then, so we relied on email.

I was stationed at Sheirstien Kasern, living at Lindsey Air Station in Weisbaden. It was a beautiful city. I relied on American AT&T kiosks onbase, as email was not yet a viable option in 1991 (I had an Apple IIe with me at the time).

I like this. Especially because it's in black and white.

Thanks. It turned out so well that I had it made into an 8x10 and hung it on my wall all those years ago.

You should hang it up again. I bet you'd be able to find a "little" wall space in your office. Maybe? lol

I couldn't even find the picture!
