Girls Gone Wild

Its in our primitive nature to not stand apart from the safety of the pack. When one discusses their individuality, its meant insofar as that pack is concerned. That's why I have such a problem with non-conformists; they're all the same. What began as a fun idea for a cheap thrill (all the while thinking I was quite the visionary for my insight) ended up turning into a study of social behavior. It humored me more that the boob shots were slow in coming, and the questions I received surrounding them, and by whom.

As this was an entirely anonymous presentation, I'll keep it that way here as well. Those who wish to out themselves in the comments are certainly welcome to do so. I used to say that getting our mean old cat Mleko to purr was like bringing a woman to orgasm - you really had to work at it sometimes. They didn't come quickly, nor without some hesitation and false starts, but the floodgates did eventually open. And so it was with my post.

The first commenter on the Thinking About Boobs entry was a male who, noticing the screened nature of the post, found its very existence distracting. He reasoned that had it been on a 'female only' filter, he wouldn't have known about it, and not sat twisting his hands wondering what was going on behind closed doors. He was also the first of many to consider creating a boob post in his own image, based on the ultimate success of mine. A meme of sorts:

Meme! (ganked from ehowton) "Show me your boobs!"

What surprised me the most was the number of female responders. Most of them wanted to know, "Is it working? Are people putting up pics of their boobs?" Unfortunately, none of those comments came with any pictures, thus we were stuck in a cycle devoid of boobage. No one wanted to be the first. Then a gift from Jedi Master photographer Richard Rasner (of uniqueblog! An image from a gorgeous pre-release holiday shoot with tantalizing sparkling holly & candy cane body paint in all the right places.

Slowly, the pretenses began to fall. It wasn't modesty keeping these women away as I had first perplexedly assumed. I think it was the security, but not what you think. To answer my first poster's question, there was no way I could allow anonymous posting and add it to a filter, so its public, but screened. And of all my readers, only two males commented at all - most of my readers are too polite to stoop to some of the theatrics I pull. So be it. I respect them all.

No, by security, I mean...most of the women didn't post anonymously and they want to check out each other!

So perhaps I'll put together an open forum f-locked post. Showcase these lovely beauties instead of squirreling them away for my own amusement. I think my next one will be themed, "Show me what you put in your body."

And while I'd prefer you show me yours in action, here's a G-rated one of me with mine:

"Show me what you put in your body."

Oh dear lord. This will bring all sorts of mischief. I'm going the safe route: gourmet food, wine, fun bits and shards of metal called jewelry.

I haven't even checked out the breast entry as I've been too busy with holiday planning, work junk, and dealing with "appendages" of my own. After experiencing them 24-7, (unless showcased properly) they lose their magic.

Thanks for sharing. We're heading to Richardson today for our quarterly shopping trip to the health food store - that's where all the freshest food comes from, and the best selection of wine, too! I will be a cooking fool these next two weeks with no kids. That reminds me, I need to replace the propane on the grill!

(unless showcased properly)
That's the spirit!

...they lose their magic.
I keep expecting them to also, but not even 10-years of marriage has lessened my fascination, much to my wife's vacillating glee and chagrin. BUAHAHAHAHA!

"Show me what you put in your body."

Ha! I already posted about that.

And let's not even get onto the topic of things we'd LIKE to put into our bodies. ;)

I already posted about that.

And who could ever forget it? Such a moving, comprehensive entry. A masterpiece, really. I don't think I've ever read any other single blog entry on livejournal which was as fascinating. I have a Five-Star Post tag I use on my own or at the behest of others in which to identify some of mine as worthy, but your post rivaled even those.

I've thought about that post often, wrestling with why I find it so fascinating. Was it the way the dialog seemed so raw, delivered staccato as it were through the conflicting emotions of the characters, or was it the sweeping imagery you were able to convey? I don't know, but whatever it was, it was made of WOW.

I like the relationships. I mean, each character has his own story. The puppy is a bit too much, but you have to over look things like that in these kinds of paintings. The way he's *holding* her... it's almost... filthy. I mean, he's about to kiss her and she's pulling away. The way the leg's sort of smashed up against her... Phew... Look how he's painted the blouse sort of translucent. You can just make out her breasts underneath and it's sort of touching him about here. It's really... pretty torrid, don't you think? Then of course you have the onlookers peeking at them from behind the doorway like they're all shocked. They wish. Yeah, I must admit, when I see a painting like this, I get emotionally... erect.

I'm ... touched, I am! And to think I was considering not producing a sequel!

It was such a universally brilliant idea! "The meme heard 'round the world." I mean, who doesn't like boobs? Its a no-brainer, really. I'm surprised more people didn't up and run with it.

You were the first female who asked ;)
