Jedi Knights are no match for destroyer droids.

Jedis rule, droids drip hydraulic fluid at inopportune moments

No, there really was a mini-droidka walking down the sidewalk in front of my house!

heh

But seriously - sadly, yes. I mean, I have a Destroyer Droid action figure out of the case, and would've LOVED to have set it adjacent this guy, but it was already dark (I know the pictures don't look like it, but they're 15-second exposures) and I didn't know *exactly* where it was in the house :(

Alas, I had to hand-create the shadowing and depth-of-field which is why it looks so amateurish.

I don't think that either the shadowing or the depth of field (technically shallow depth of field, but whatever) is amateurish. I'm guessing this means that you blurred the background by hand?

15 second exposures? That's bold. I was using a 1 second exposure when I created my phone avatar and that was in complete darkness at 1.8 (forget what ISO I was shooting.)

Thank you!

No, I only blurred parts of the droideka, and the droideka shadow I had to draw - which was tougher than it sounds, and I think turned out rather poorly.

Who can say? Visual art isn't my thing. Nothing has stood out to me staring at the pictures yet.

He was walking toward my wife and I down the sidewalk, like a pedestrian on our daily evening walk. I nodded a friendly, "Hello" and that's when he gave me that "Dramatic Chipmunk" eyeball...on his creepy eye-stalks.
