I came upon this memorial, quite by accident, about 6 years ago. It is one of the most profoundly spiritual places that I have ever experienced. The story of the memorial is amazing, one Father's attempt to deal with the loss of his Son in Vietnam. Inside the visitor's center, is a chronology of our involvement there...with personal stories. I made it halfway through before weeping, which was quite unexpected. Thank you for the beautiful pictures and reminding me of this amazing place!
