The month in quotes, brought to you by ehowton's Netflix Instant Queue:

"The world you desire can be won, it exists, it is real, it is possible, it is yours." ~ Ayn Rand, In Her Own Words

"What's the use of great ideas if we don't actually do something?" ~ Rainer Wenger, Die Welle (The Wave)

"I don't have delusions of grandeur, I have an actual recipe for grandeur." ~ Eddie, Limitless

"What will matter is not your success, but your significance; not your competence, but your character." ~ Michael Josephson, The Beautiful Truth

And one I made up myself:

"You'll never really know how fucked up your handwriting is until you make a font out of it." ~ehowton THIS NOT THAT

I don't know what you're talking about, I thought that was very nice handwriting.

Yannow how only psychopaths can immediately and clearly see psychopathy in others?

Yeah, that.

And some psychopaths just can't take a compliment...

Yeah, and that is unlike me - sorry! The way I work (and you might want to hold onto something) is that I had this idea about following up with entire individual posts outlining certain details of my rather chaotic Beliefs entry. The first one which came to mind was defining positivity since I'd failed to do so at the time, but all I had was a quote or two of ideas - I needed to find more.

After I secured those I began to draft out the framework for an old-skool HTML 1.0 table:

REMEMBER THOSE?

But it looked horrific and I was suddenly reminded why that was horrible idea! The only other way was to create a graphic out of it. After deciding upon that, I knew I wanted a scroll, and was considering using something along the lines of a font which would reflect scroll-use (Cecil B. DeMille didn't use Comic Sans for the 10 Commandments, for example). After not quite finding what I was looking for, I decided to make my own font - out of my own handwriting - without even knowing how to do it.

So yeah, THAT took a lot longer than expected. And spacing - while imperative to comprehensible functions - isn't clearly laid out on the little individual letter and number font blocks. The whole think looked like an original Jack Kerouac novel typed out so furiously with a railroad-age era typewriter that the typebars were slapping the platen several at a time in a cacophonous blur!

So after MUCH time (I mean, I did this all in less than a day given everything else I manage to undertake - but for *me* it was a long time) I finally got everything laid out and perfected and presented.

Then my server went down and no one could see it.

:/

Excellent quotes all!

I'm especially partial to:
"What's the use of great ideas if we don't actually do something?" ~ Rainer Wenger, Die Welle (The Wave)

And this one makes me giggle, but the fact that I laugh makes it no less inspiring:
"I don't have delusions of grandeur, I have an actual recipe for grandeur." ~ Eddie, Limitless

What are you counting down to finally?

Took me all day to figure out what you were asking.

No, this post started off about not being able to sleep, because I kept thinking about the movie The Final Countdown about Kirk Douglas as the commander of the USS Nimitz aircraft carrier (hence the avatar) leaving out of Pearl Harbor which got swept back to December 6, 1941 and they put all the pieces together in the middle of the open ocean to learn when they were and that they were about to face-off with the encroaching Japanese armada!

But you know how one thing leads to another. So here we are.
