It's natural to have a "default" view; impossible to consider a new one until a situation arises which provides the opportunity to question its validity.

The thing of it is not many people do question the validity of their defaults. I suppose it's because many of the defaults serve "well enough", despite the fact that there indeed might be better ways.

If your son had to mow the lawn from here on out after he could start the mower, it would probably work "well enough"; after all, it did with you and your father. That said, you both stand to gain so much by sharing this task together.

This is a perfect example of why I like to question the reason behind what I think. Unfortunately for some, I like to question my friends and family about there reasons too. This isn't always appreciated.

And the yard does look fantastic!
