Perpetually Inconvenient

There never is a good time for bad news it seems. Every single time someone comes to us with bad news, it doesn't matter what is going on in our lives, its a bad time. Oh I'm not saying we can't enumerate why its a bad time - because something is ALWAYS going on. I like to call this little curveball, "life" but I seemingly remain in the minority with that perspective. Regardless, the egotistical viewpoint remains - I have never had anyone reply to me, "I'm glad you're bringing me this bad news now!"

I can prove my theory through its inverse: Good news. Win the lottery? Well that's GREAT NEWS! Its always a good time to get great news. No one has ever complained about the timing of good news. No matter what's going on in our lives, we welcome good news. And that's because we, as imperfect beings, are flawed. Not only do we perceive time through some pretty fucked up filters, most of which are inaccurate just based on the two examples above - we can't even understand the differentiation between timing of our data, and its content.

And this people, is the easy stuff.
