Congrats on being able to sleep when you needed to. I am both impressed and relieved.

As for me, after being sick for a week and developing the sleep patterns of a cat during that time, I am hoping to be awake and alert for the next 16 hours or so.

I feel like I have what you had. That said, I'm in the middle of DR. Instead of sipping wine before the rare times we're allowed a couple of hours sleep, I'm chugging Nyquil. I was sure the lack-of-sleep thing would grossly aggravate my condition, but now I wonder if my lack of suitable downtime has somehow staved off the virus by disallowing it a suitable environment in which to foster.

That said, I fear once DR is over I will suffer fully at its hands. I guess my company would have to cough up another week of hotel if I got worse before I made it home.

If you have what I had..., I shudder to think of you having to work like that. Yes. Your company may need to spring for some extra hotel time.

Under the circumstances, NyQuil is probably a better choice than wine. :/
