User calls in a ticket after her wireless mouse stops responding for the second day in a row...after she'd unplugged the USB base unit.

I've worked more hours the past 6 years than anyone else I know. Except maybe my lawyer. And my boss. And maybe stuf123, who's not even in IT. So I was going to sleep in just a little today...and get up in time for a cup of coffee right before my 0900 conference call. But now I have a 0700 conference call as well. *sigh* Just got the kids down, so I guess I'm going to bed.

Oh, and I was asked to compose a list about the things I like about STL. Here's what I've come up with so far:

Golly, I'm honored I made the list! I'm blushing!

These early morning meetings are a pain. I just brought the decanter of coffee into my office. Figured I could just hook it up to an IV!

Lord knows I need a coffee IV. I am so tired today and bored with my job... Thankfully time off is coming up next week...

My guess is that list might not fill up too quickly. The Texans John and I are both related to and past/current Texan friends all really only like Texas...he-he! Unless your not a native to Texas, then you might warm up to your new home...

From my own experience, if you ever have to move somewhere, you will never like it that much and even if you choose to move to a new place, you're going to find things that annoy you and take some getting used to. KC and St. Louis are quite different, though in the same state. I did come to miss quite a few things about KC at one time and really thought about leaving St. Louis. KC is a great place and things are so new there. I actually like that. But as time went on I realized I could appreciate my first hometown and actually give the new one a chance...and now I like it here quite a bit.

Oh, and as an aside about KC, you had mentioned something about it yesterday so I just wanted to say that central KC is NOTHING but office buildings. There is a lot going on to change that, but it has never been "the place to go" like downtowns are in many cities. If you go back, Midtown is the place to go. Oh, and maybe go with a native...We can show a good time...:-)

notice he put you on the bottom of the list, so I'm not sure I'd brag about it...considering that there are 9 more items to come, the hotdog vendor could beat you out at this point.

I like your list of things you like about STL.

As far as I could tell, galinda822 was the only good thing as well.

The only solution, of course, is to pack her up and move back home.

Excellent!
You have 2 choices:
A) Come to STL and help him find 9 other things to like about STL.
B) Come to STL and help me start packing.

I'd prefer a variation of B that didn't involve a) me going to STL or b) me packing.

BTW, John just put up some hilarious pictures on our site. Here the link to see them:

I am not computer savvy when it comes to hardware, but wouldn't one ASSUME the base unit is required to have power or the mouse will not work?

I have no snappy replies for you. I will fail this exam.
