Talking with my Air Force buddy, he's extolling the virtues of 'Google Chat' and I say, "Yeah, send me a message. I'm 'howton.'"
"OMG! You got that? Just howton? At gmail?"
"Well, yeah - there were like nine users when I got my account."
"Arrogant as ever."
"I've been accused of that a lot lately."
"At least you always manage to live up to it."

Those who are not familiar with TheTheologiansCafe, he asks simplistic questions several times a day, and people usually answer yes or no. Today, in response, I asked him, in his own format, "The building at my work has walls which create corridors you have to traverse to get anywhere. Do you think buildings should have hallways?" I don't expect an answer.

Sent my father this photograph. Its the identical one I had in Texas. Told him, "Happy Father's Day. You can keep my old grill." He uses it as much, if not more, than I use mine. He needed a new grill.

January 12, 1991 - I receive my first stripe, bringing me from the rank of Airman Basic to Airman at Goodfellow Air Force Base, San Angelo, Texas.

That's me on the left.

Bitches, man...bitches

only someone who had teenaged years during the late 80's will get that reference to classic cinema dialogue - one of John's best films, alright - his absolute finest.
It was so cool to hear from you old friend - I do hoep we move through time as the characters we once so innocently admired, I now realize how naive I was then - being alive is so much more fun. Saw the corresponding film again the other night on cable - damn, did that suck. Such possibilities - such disappontment.
Can't tell you of any books I've read as of late - I actually miss the times I would 'retire' early to finish a chapter or two before slipping off to sleep. Once my degree is finished I plan to recapture those days. If for only once more... stay timeless Eric - CMB

She meet you at the door with a Mexican beer. Mexican beer sucks dude.

Now had she meet you at the door with an ice cold Guinness that would be another story!!!!!!!!!!!

Guinness isn't good ice cold.

Do you keep a log of your whole life?
Just curious!

Glad you had an eventful weekend! Believe me you had more options than I did.
ehowton at 2006-06-19 16:34 (UTC) (Link)
I wouldn't know what else to keep a log of!

Eventful it was. I prefer uneventful weekends myself...

Yes, your options were rather limited. 15.5 hours at the office on a Saturday *bleh*

I'm thrilled you got your mac mini ordered though!

you mock my Chattanooga updates!

That's great about Dan's site. I doubt you'll see a reply, but he has commented on my site before. But I think you're right. You're not going to bait him. Keep it up though, I'll put in a plug for you.

That's a nice patio. Is that there in STL? I'm on my way!

D00d! Your 'stach is like your calling card or something. Talk about "Where's Waldo". I think I like your current pictures better. P.S. That picture sooo looks like it was taken in the 70's or even the 80's.

Oh. and. I've made a very recent discovery lately: no matter how pretty or rich a person is, they still have have the same basic wants and needs of any other person: namely, a companion.
ehowton at 2006-06-19 20:56 (UTC) (Link)
If you're referring to Maslow's hierarchy of needs, yes, that's well established as the third layer of human needs after physiological and safety needs are fulfilled.

btw, what did you think of FlightPlan?
ehowton at 2006-06-19 21:56 (UTC) (Link)
It was an entertaining couple of hours for a Friday Movie Night and held my interest.
