Its not the heat, its the humidity.

There are few places I abhor the sweltering humidity during the summer months. These include the East Coast, the Midwest, the South, and Korea. I can handle the sort of post-apocalyptic, "Scorched Earth" heat of Texas, The West, and the Middle East just fine.

That said, the weather has finally turned cooler here, and I feel I can do stuff again.

I hear you. People may scoff, "but it's a dry heat" as they go on to make comparisons to an oven. However, in the desert, even if the temps in mid-day are extreme, the mornings are always cool enough in summer to comfortably exercise, work in the yard, etc. And in winter, the afternoons are warm enough. :)

Here, there are months at a time where the weather makes it impossible to enjoy the outdoors in any way shape or form.
