Anyone tired of seeing pictures of me sitting behind the wheel of a car? This is an un-retouched photo - i.e., I did it. First time in 10 years I haven't had a full beard. I like it, the wife hates it:

I need to do a little close-work on the chin; thin it out and trim up the sides. Furthermore, looking at these pics reminds me of Vinny Jones (Bullet Tooth Tony) in Snatch.

schpydurx suggested that this change made me look like Charles Manson. Because this change makes the look like the opposite (Being the other of two complementary or mutually exclusive things - Altogether different, as in nature, quality, or significance - Sharply contrasting; antithetical) I thought I would provide this young man with a photo and ask that he reconsider his statement:

Wife rec'd her stove today - pics to follow.

Very busy Friday.

I was up late last night on an SRT - didn't get in to work today until noon.

Picking up two bottles of red wine on the way home.

Thursday, I will be in D.C. for a day trip. I will be IT staff supporting our clients largest meeting in D.C. for a week in October, and this will be an onsite meeting with the conference staff. I have plans to meet up with Air Force buddies photogoot and his wife. I've seen him every couple of years as he has attended meetings which have brought him to Texas, but I haven't seen his wife since 1997. Damn, that's a long time. Equipped with my beret, and my digital camera, the photo blog will be a feast for the eyes upon my return.

Trimmed up:

If you took off the sunglasses so people could see your "crazy eyes" then they could see the resemblance to Charlie!

ROFL - I think you're on to something there!

This time I will reveal myself by logging in!

I am used to the goatee already, its like looking into a mirror for me. In fact my wife dislikes my goatee and has never adjusted to it. I nearly took it off last week. However now I think I shall keep mine a bit longer on the chance that you sir are on the leading edge of a revolution in men’s facial hair styling!

And really, you're much better looking than me. Remember the lesbians always went for you! (except the ones you pissed off by dressing in work boots, flannel shirts and tool belt right before they arrived.

Hmm, you're right, I may be onto something...a heterosexual man - with a goatee. Viva la revolution!

*psssst* (I had your IP, which was identical to your login last night - I'm like the...NSA. I know exactly who you are ;)

Now see, its people like you who are pealing away the cloak of anonymity that are ruining the internet. That's cool!

The goatee looks very nice! It fits you and I think you look very handsome with it. Why doesnt the wife like it? Any particular reason?

I dont think you look a thing like Charles Manson. Of course, why would you believe a guy that already has his own terrorist photo anyway?

ehowton at 2006-07-15 06:28 (UTC) (Link)
Yes. She has a very specific reason. It's not 'G' rated, so it won't be disussed in this forum.

Ah...well I have read back in your archives, so I think I can figure it out :)

Good picture! You don't look like an "egghead" at all!

It's still taking some getting used to though! But I'm sure it'll grow on me.

I Spent a period of my life co-habitating with Eric and I never thought he had an egg shaped head. The wide angle lens used for his self portraits in the car however does elongate and slim his bulbous mellon giving a more oval or "egg head" shape to his face.

Dead sexy.
galinda822 at 2006-07-16 16:36 (UTC) (Link)
Could be he just acts like an "egghead" then! hehe

Seriously, it's not the exterior that counts anyway!
He's a helluva person!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ya, he's a keeper!

Have a good time catching up next week!

And, nice to meet you!
photogoot at 2006-07-16 23:00 (UTC) (Link)
Yes, I am sure we will. Eric & I always pick up as if we saw each other yesterday even though is years between visits anymore. Eric always seems to have such interesting people around him, it’s nice to meet you as well and maybe I’ll see you at his place in a future visit.

Looks good. Needs a small trim, but still looks good.

Elena is from Russia - and there beards, especially the goatee is highly "verboten!" But, she has never known me without hair on my face. One day I surprised her and presented her a clean shaven man. Her response - "AHHHH! Where's my husband!? Grow it back! Grow it back!"

Nice pic

You look great :). But yeah, trimming the chin a bit would complement your hairdo better - wait a minute, that almost looks like a buzz cut, didn't you have slightly longer hair when I hung out with you and Tony?? Anyway, you do look nice. Sorry the wife doesn't like it. Usually I prefer a clean-shaven look on a guy's face, but it depends. Maybe it'll just take her awhile to get used to the new look, especially after ten years.

I guess I should have read the most recent entry first. The goatee looks good on you. Sorry the wife doesn't like it. I have the opposite problem, the wife likes it when I have a goatee, but I don't. Go figure.

Manson? Nah, But if you, the terrorist, or anyone else eversaw a pic of me inda day.. folks would swear we were brothers. Not you and I. Me and Manson. Some would go as far as to say we shared personalities then as well. That's a whole 'nother story...
This I can deal w/...still get to read and comment and not have to over-stretch an already crazy cyber-social life, and you can read and RYC your heart out in zangaville:-)

OOps -forgot a step...need to confirm my humanity.. hope i passed the audition
