Newton Arboretum


The more I use these old lenses, the more I can tell which is which in post. The Mamiya/Sektor is velvety soft while the Optik-Meyer is sharp; the Olympus crisp and contrasty and the Industar-50 flat and subdued. The Jupiter-9's 15-blades are just gorgeous compared to them all (see attached), and the swirly bokeh of the Helios-44/2 is undeniably striking each and every time. I am just thrilled. Unfortunately I now know what I have to do - take every pose with each lens. They're all too unique not to!
