It's okay. They handle the love theme really well, but the action music should have been a whole lot punchier. That's why, despite the superior sonics and more music, I prefer listening to the original album. Nobody could conduct Rózsa quite like the maestro himself.

I think I remember you saying that somewhere before after I read it, though I couldn't find it on your blog. I agree that the 'original' is usually the best. Less interpretation to extrapolate. Save for this one example:
I once heard Rachmoninoff himself play his "Rhapsody on a theme of Paganini" and it didn't hold a candle to Van Cliburn. I always wondered why that was. Passion?
